Madrid January 29th
The Canis Majoris Foundation wanted to pay tribute to the participants in the Siboney Narrative and Painting contest by developing a booklet gathering all the stories and drawings presented in the competition organized by the Foundation in April last year in collaboration with the Community of Madrid, the Association to encourage reading “Friends of the Dragon Reader” and the artist, Mrs. Paloma Johansson.
On 29th January the Foundation visited one of the centers participating in the contest to present the collection to its protagonists, children aged between 6 and 17, who put so much hope and joy into their work thus making it possible to hold the contest year after year.
The occasion counted on the presence of Doña Pilar Pérez and Don José Andrés Villota, from the “Friends of the Dragon Reader” by entertaining the children through the dramatization of the story: “The Magic Horse of Han Gan” drawing many smiles from those present.
The presentation of the booklet ended with some words from the Director of the Canis Majoris Foundation Dr. Raúl Alelú, who praised the work done and encouraged them to return to participate in the next contest to be held in April. Of course, we did not miss the opportunity to request the protagonists to autograph our copy of the compilation booklet.
