The Illustrious Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences distinguishes the most outstanding doctors and researchers in Spain.
On Saturday, December 1, the Ateneo de Madrid (Athenaeum of Madrid) hosted the act for the appointment of academics from the Illustrious Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences. The act was presented by the journalist Santiago Acosta. The awards were presented by the President of the Illustrious Academy, Dr. Carmen Slocker de Arce, Medical Inspector and Higher Degree in Medical Sophrology, Medical surgeon and specialist physician in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Complutense University of Madrid, PhD in Bioethics and Human Rights, UNESCO Chair.
The ceremonial granting of the Cord of Academic Number, which the Illustrious Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences awards to those professionals who have excelled for their scientific and academic merits, activities, knowledge and publications. Among those to receive this honorable distinction was Dr. Raúl Alelú-Paz, CEO of the Canis Majoris Foundation and Director of the Elena Pessino Gómez del Campo Neuroscience Laboratory.
