Last Friday, June 28, Dr. Raúl Alelú-Paz, CEO of the Canis Majoris Foundation and Director of the Elena Pessino Gómez del Campo Neuroscience Laboratory, received the Dr. Gómez Ulla Award for Health Excellence 2019 in recognition of his professional prestige in the field of Health and his commitment to Excellence.
The Institute for Professional Excellence has decided to establish the Dr. Gómez Ulla Award for Health Excellence 2019, in recognition of all those who have contributed to improving the field of Health in our country.
The professionals who receive the award stand out for their merits which range from their continuous efforts to continue researching and discovering the latest scientific and health advances, to their professionalism with each of their patients and in all the projects they are dedicated to, their constant protection of the health of those who trust in their criteria and experience.
The event was held at the Westin Palace Hotel, where the honorary vice president of the Institute for Professional Excellence, Antonio Gabriel Pérez i Mateu, presented the Dr. Gómez Ulla Awards for Health Excellence 2019.

Gerardo Seeliger, former President of Siglo XXI Club, Prof. Mr. Carlos Jesús Ruiz Cosano, President of the Constitution Club, Ms. Lola Herrera, Actress, Mr. Bertín Osborne, Singer and Businessman, Ilmo. Dr. D. Enrique A. García Melón, University Professor, Doctor of Marine Sciences and Civil Navy, Bachelor of Nautical and Maritime Transport, Mr. Jesús Cimarro, President of the Spanish Academy of Performing Arts and Theatrical Producer and Mr. Manuel Santana, Former Professional Sportsman.
Among the Members of Honor of the Institution are; Father Ángel García, Founder of “Mensajeros de la Paz” (Messengers of Peace) and Príncipe de Asturias Prize, Rt Hon. D. Ángel Galindo García, former Rector of the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Hon.Mr. Vicente del Bosque, Marqués de Del Bosque, former official coach of the Spanish National Soccer Team and Hon. Mr. D. Antonio López, Painter, Sculptor and Prince of Asturias Award recipient.
As the Institute’s Members of Honor in Memorium are the following personalities: Hon. Mr. D. Adolfo Suárez González, Duke of Suárez, Prince of Asturias Award, Ilmo. Mr. D. Ángel Antonio Mingote, Marqués de Daroca, Draftsman, Writer, Academician of the Spanish Language and Journalist, and Mrs. Montserrat Caballé, Spanish lyrical singer.
