The Canis Majoris Foundation and Vetersalud Training have organized the course on Animal Assisted Therapies in which the Foundation’s Social Intervention Unit team also participate as expert teachers and internship tutors.
The Course is aimed at anyone interested in the world of Animal Assisted Intervention (IAA) who want to develop a new specialty. The course is aimed at furthering your professional career and help you to advance in your own job, but especially in developing an activity to help people suffering from some form of functional diversity.
The course consists of 320 teaching hours, distributed as 5 modules and 50 hours of Face-to-face Practices providing up to 12 months to complete the course.
Once the theoretical part is done, where you learn all the necessary techniques and knowledge, you will carry out Face-to-face Practices in different centers in the Community of Madrid, with full support from a multidisciplinary team composed of psychologists, physiotherapists, social educators and experts in canine behavior who will help you to acquire further knowledge and will make you enjoy the training .
You will also have an Employment Exchange, in which all job offers will be accessed and employment advice given.
At the end of the training, you will receive the Diploma of Technician in Animal Assisted Intervention, issued and endorsed by the Canis Majoris Foundation and Vetersalud Training.
