VII Annual Conference and VIII Gala of the Elena Pessino Gómez del Campo Scholarship Delivery

On January 17, 2020, at 4:30 p.m., the Canis Majoris Foundation celebrates its most important event: The VII Annual Conference and the VIII Gala for the delivery of the Elena Pessino Gómez del Campo Scholarships, at the CaixaForum Auditorium in Madrid (Calle Paseo del Prado, 36).

Each year, the Canis Majoris Foundation deals with a topic of maximum relevance and brings it to debate within the framework of the Annual Conference. This year, together with a group of experts and professionals in the field, we will discuss the environmental impact that we are subjecting to the planet and we will try to respond to the different causes that are leading us to a climate emergency situation. The debate is moderated by the Doctor of Journalism and Editor of Equality of TVE services, Alicia Gómez Montano.

Greenpeace, the Fridays for the Future movement or the Global Nature Foundation, among others, have been invited to participate in these conferences where we hope to generate proposals and ideas that can be  turned into future actions.

Once the annual Conference is over, the VIII Gala of the Elena Pessino Gómez del Campo Scholarships will be held. These scholarships are awarded annually to university students with functional diversity to support then in achieving their academic objectives. The components of the Honor Board that will deliver the Scholarships are: Ms. Elena Pessino Gómez del Campo, Honorary President of the Canis Majoris Foundation, Don Gonzalo Casas Pessino, President of the Canis Majoris Foundation, Dr. Raúl Alelú-Paz CEO of the Canis Majoris Foundation, Doña Lorena Casas Pessino, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Canis Majoris Foundation, the Illustrious Mrs. Doña Mª del Pilar López González, General Director of Attention to Persons with Disabilities, His Excellency Mr. Francisco Fernández Marugán, Ombudsman and a Representative of the Spanish Paralympic Committee.
